How do I get to Rawa Island Resort?

Rawa island is accessible by the private speedboat from the resort’s private jetty located next to the main ferry terminal at Mersing, Johor. The scheduled boat journey takes approximately 30 minutes during good weather.

If I drive to Mersing, where do I park my car?

Secured overnight car parking facilities are available at our Mersing Office. Parking is chargeable at RM18.00 per car per day.

When is the best time to visit Rawa Island Resort?

For best experience weather-wise, we suggest you to visit us from March until October. However the resort remains open all year-round.

Is it advantageous for us to book early and how do I make a booking?

Yes, please make advance booking to avoid disappointment. To book, you may visit our website www.rawaislandresort.com and select BOOK NOW.

How would you prefer us to guarantee our reservation?

All bookings require full payment upon confirmation. Payment can be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or bank transfer.

What credit card types are accepted for guarantee/deposit or payment at your resort?

We accept Visa or MasterCard.

We are aware that your check in time is at 2:00pm, but we would like to check in early, is this chargeable?

Early check-in is subject to room availability. If the room is available, we allow early check-in without extra charges.

What is your resort’s cancellation policy and what is the penalty if we default?

All bookings are strictly non-refundable and our resort does not accept requests for refunds in full or in part for any cancellation. We do however allow a change of booking date within 12 months from the original check-in date subject to room availability.

What are the room amenities that you not provide in your accommodation?

As the resort relies on generator set for its electricity supply, the following amenities are not provided in the room:

  • Television
  • Mini fridge
  • Electric Kettle

Kettles, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards are available at the front desk upon request.

Is there live music / karaoke in the Resort? Can the resort organize event / party at night?

There are no live band or karaoke sets at the resort. Should you require a specific event arrangement, please contact our Booking Office for further assistance.

Can I bring my own food or drink to Rawa Island Resort?

Outside food and drinks are strictly prohibited on the island. Corkage charges are applicable for

Beer – MYR 10 ++ per can

Soft Drink – MYR 10 ++ per can

Wine – MYR 70++ per bottle

Liquor – MYR 100++ per bottle

Champagne – MYR 90++ per bottle

* All prices are subject to Service Tax and Government Tax

Can you arrange for special dietary requirement? ie: gluten free or vegetarian?

If you have any particular dietary requirements, please let us know in advance and we will try to arrange some alternative dishes for you. For those with strict dietary requirements, we can arrange for our Head Chef to discuss your options and needs with you when you arrive.

Do you have Baby Cots?

Yes, baby cots are available upon request. Kindly inform us upon reservation for the arrangement.

Do you arrange baby food?

Unfortunately, we do not provide baby food arrangement. However, if you require baby food storage, feel free to approach our Front Desk or F&B team for assistance.

Do you have kids room and is there babysitter service at the kids’ room?

We do have a kids room; however, babysitter service is not available.

Do the package rates include sea sport activity?

No, sea sport activities are not included in the package rate and are chargeable separately.

Do sea sport activities require island hopping?

You may enjoy the sea sport activities at the house beach of the resort and no island hopping is required.

Where is drinking water in the restaurant sourced from?

Drinking water is supplied directly from the mainland (Mersing).

What is the water resource for your bathroom and showers?

Water in the toilets is produced at the reverse osmosis plant on the island.

Who is eligible for returning guest discount?

Guests who have stayed at the resort within 12 months from the date of their last visit are eligible to book their next stay at a discounted rate. Please provide us your previous booking details and book directly with our Booking Office in order to enjoy this discount.

Fees & Packages

1. Is there any admission fee to enter Taman Negeri Rompin, Pahang?

Each entrance to TNR is compulsory to pay the following entrance fees prescribed by the Pahang State Forestry Department.

2. How do I pay the admission fee to enter Taman Negeri Rompin?

Visitors can book in advance at our website, by contacting  our reservation office  or just walk in to the basecamp and make payment at the entrance gate.

3. What are the facilities that I am entitled to by paying the entrance fee?

Visitors are entitled to enjoy basecamp facilities such as Rainforest Discovery Centre, Kinchin River suspension bridge, watch tower, Seri Mahkota Waterfall and Kinchin Base Camp public areas.

4. Where should I register upon arrival at TNR?

All visitors are required to register at the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) upon arrival.

Activities

1. What are the other activities available at Taman Negeri Rompin?

2. What is the minimum number of people for guided activities booking?

We do require a minimum 2 people for each booking of guided activities.

3. How many days in advance do I have to book for guided activities?

A minimum of 2 days in advanced is required for all guided activities

5. I am interested in joining guided activities but I don’t have much experience. Is it suitable for beginners to join?

All guided activities are accompanied and led by experienced guides. Be rest assured as our guide will assist visitors during the guided activities.

6. Does Taman Negeri Rompin allow visitors to go for camping activities?

Camping activity is allowed. Please refer to Rates & Packages page.

7. I have a chronic disease but I want to join outdoor activities. Is it possible for me to book and join any of the guided tours?

Visitors with chronic disease are not advised to join guided tours. For further clarification, please contact us before booking. TNR will not be responsible for any incident that occurs related to the visitor’s health.

8. What are the other facilities available at Taman Negeri Rompin?

We provide basic facilities such as public toilets, surau for prayer, multipurpose hall, campsite and cafeteria.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

1. What is the payment policy for guided activity booking?

TNR requires pre-payment for each of the guided activities via website booking or bank transfer to our account at least 2 days before arrival date.

2. I have made a booking and suddenly it’s raining and the weather does not permit, what are the other options?

The option is to reschedule, postpone or cancel the tours subjected to the weather condition.

3. What is the cancellation policy of Taman Negeri Rompin? Can visitors get a refund?

Taman Negeri Rompin cancellation and refund policy is subjected to the weather conditions during the tours.

You can raise the refund request for your booking by email at info@rompinpark.my or call to our booking office at +607-7991204 with valid refund reason.

Your refund request will take up to 14 days.
